JOB ANNOUNCEMENT – ISLAMIC RELIEF KOSOVA

Islamic Relief is an international relief and development charity founded in 1984 with its headquarters in Birmingham, UK. As well as responding to disasters and emergencies, Islamic Relief promotes sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities – regardless of race, religion or gender. In Kosovo, Islamic Relief started its activity since 1999.

Islamic Relief Kosova is currently looking for a potential candidate to join our dedicated Team. 

Position: Finance Officer
Location: Pristina
Working Hours: Full Time (08:00 – 16:00), Monday – Friday
Ref. no: IR/RKS/26 – 2024 

     JOB PURPOSE: 

  • This position holds the responsibility to support the Kosovo field office with a range of financial and administrative functions under direction from the Finance Coordinator. 
  • This will involve supporting an active field office delivering emergency response and recovery projects by ensuring the appropriate level of documentation, monitoring, reporting and compliance with donors and Islamic Relief financial guidelines and local laws.

  KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS 

  • Reports to the Finance Coordinator
  • Works closely with the Finance Team
  • Liaises at all levels with staff within the organization. 

    *JOB REQUIREMENT*

  QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 1-year relevant working experience in financial institutions, Finance Department is preferred.
  • Faculty of Economics, Bank Finance, Management or Business Administration is (Bachelor or Ongoing studies).
  • Organizational skills, to manage, train and motivate.
  • Ability to judge fairly, to analyze a multitude of information, the ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time, the ability to solve problems and to work under pressure and with confidential matters.
  • Teamwork attitude, cooperative, with a tendency to adopt change.
  • Positive, self-balanced, trustworthy, discreet, tolerant, flexible approach with a clear focus on quality services and customer care.
  • Good Knowledge of English language (written and spoken).
  • Excellent skills in using Microsoft Office common software and any database application that is used for financial management.

  SKILLS

  • Excellent word processing, excel and database skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Demonstrable administration and office management skills.
  • Experience of setting up and maintaining management information and data retrieval systems.
  • Experience of diary and correspondence management.
  • Strong written communication skills necessary to draft letters, reports and other documentation.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills and excellent telephone manner.

  KNOWLEDGE

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and understanding of any financial software.

  ABILITIES

  • Ability to manage day-to-day administrative and office management functions.
  • Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collate data and produce reports.
  • Able to plan, prioritise and deliver to tight timescales.
  • Ability to work effectively on own initiative and as part of a team, without close supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, face to face and over the telephone, and in writing.
  • Able to work methodically with a good attention to details.
  • Able to demonstrate a consistent approach to others with confidence and Integrity.
